LITERACY THROUGH THEATER

The first event in the southland company outreach initiative is a collaboration with the educational non-profit Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). Thursday, December 8th we will be a holding a Shakespeare workshop with HOLA, working with middle and high school students from local neighborhoods and using text from Shakespeare's As You Like It.

Literacy through Theater is our current educational outreach effort in Los Angeles. The program is dedicated to promote a shared value and appreciation for theater arts and literacy through classical storytelling.
